Jackie Lane                    rated it        4 of 5 stars

I finished this book last night.  I had an ARC and I did a buddy read on this book.  Since I had no idea what I was reading, it was a pleasant surprise when I sat down to read it.  I definitely enjoyed this book.
It is the story of a woman, Olivia Westerly, who wants a career and not children that would tie her down.  She gets a picture in her mind of her friend, Francine, weighed down with all her children and from then on Olivia vows not to have children.

Olivia marries late in life and her husband dies on their honeymooon.  Olivia has a superstition with the number 11 and that number pops up so many times, mainly with the age of her husband’s grandson, who quickly becomes the person that Olivia dotes on and adores.
Olivia’s grandson, Ethan Allen, comes to her having witnessed a murder and Olivia fiercly defends Ethan Allen. (hide spoiler)]
This book is sure to tug at your heartstrings.
