Great, wonderful, touching story – #bookreviewer Salute

Great, wonderful, touching story – #bookreviewer Salute I was lucky enough to get an advanced reader’s copy of this book from the author. I have loved every book that Bette Lee Crosby has written to date. I had a favorite before reading this one, but now have a new favorite. This book was so good it was impossible to put down. If you have read her other books then this one will be even better. It has bits and pieces that you will recognize throughout the story......

Memory House makes me feel magical – #bookreviewer Salute

Memory House makes me feel magical – #bookreviewer Salute First of all, I would like to thank Bette for the opportunity to read an early copy of this book. You continue to be one of my favorite authors. I decided after reading this book again recently that I wasn’t going to give out the story or get into details about it or the characters. There is too much going on in the story. When you’re reading this book you need to feel the magic and I don’t belie.....

Memory House is magical – #bookreviewer Salute

Memory House is magical – #bookreviewer Salute I was blessed to be able to read this book ahead of time with an advanced reader copy. The book is magical with bits of this author’s other books woven in here and there. As I have read most if not all of Mrs Crosby’s other books I found that to be quite delightful. Ophelia owns a beautiful bed and breakfast. It’s not advertised and is left to chance that Annie happens to find the place. One might think that Ophel.....

I absolutely loved Memory House – #bookreviewer Salute

I absolutely loved Memory House – #bookreviewer Salute The sign that Annie Cross almost missed during her long and sad drive said “Memory House Bed & Breakfast”; as she walked up to the door she felt like she had been there before – and when she went inside with Ophelia Browne it felt like home. Ophelia was getting close to ninety years of age – her unique gift of finding memories was one she needed to pass on to another before she herself passed on; she was becomi.....

A #MustRead – #bookreviewer Salute

A #MustRead – #bookreviewer Salute Passing through Perfect was both tragic and heartwarming. I loved how well the characters were written. I felt like I was part of the story. I smiled and laughed, then cried. It is so tragic that the color of a person’s skin would mean that they are any less of a person than someone else. Benjamin was an amazing man. He took the knocks that life gave him and kept going. He could have become bitter and mean. He choose to take care.....

Great Story of Overcoming – #bookreviewer Salute

Great Story of Overcoming – #bookreviewer Salute If you enjoy post Civil War Southern historical fiction, this is for you! I was nervous it was going to be an Oprah book club type book full of depressing stories, it wasn’t. Yes, the main characters have a hard time in the poor, segregated south, but there is also so much happiness. There are some really great characters to love of both races. I really enjoyed it although I was disturbed by some parts. The sad parts.....

Enjoyable Read – #bookreviewer Salute

Enjoyable Read – #bookreviewer Salute This heart warming book was so much fun to read. It didn’t make me rush through it to see what happened next, yet it kept my interest enough to keep reading leisurely. The well-developed characters find their way into your heart and I found myself cheering for them, hoping for them and crying with them. The end left me with a smile in my heart. It’s good to read a book that I can curl up with and enjoy. .....

Gail reviews Passing through Perfect – #bookreviewer Salute This book is an amazing Southern Historical work of fiction. It is set in the small town of Grinders Corner, Alabama. It shows Benjamin Church and his family and how they had to struggle through racially hard times in the south. This is a heartwarming story that takes you back in time in the south. It is beautifully written and is part of a series but can be read alone. It is an amazing story of family life, trust and .....

Alisa’s review of Passing though Perfect – Reader Salute

I love working with Kathy from I Am A Reader, Not A Writer. She curates the type of readers that fit my books perfectly. The next couple of weeks on the Reader Salute, I’m going to be sharing the reader reviews for Passing through Perfect through her service. Alisa’s review of Passing though Perfect – Reader Salute This is not the kind of book I usually review, but I was in the mood to read something different. This is a historical novel that takes place in t.....

Elaine reviews Spare Change – Reader Salute

Enjoy this review from Elaine on Goodreads about Spare Change! Elaine reviews Spare Change – Reader Salute Turn off your cell phone and butter up some popcorn when you read Spare Change because you’re reading a book you’ll swear some studio has already bought the rights to turn into a movie. I admit, I’m drawn to southern characters and southern tales and Ms. Crosby has cooked up a good one in Spare Change. The characters are fully developed and layered with endear.....
