Blueberry Hill will be released this summer. This is a novella that was one of the most difficult things I have ever written. It is my own story. A story of the last few years I spent with my sister Donna. Although the story does have it’s moments of fun and laughter, it also tells what can happen to even the strongest of us.
I choose this cover art because this looks a lot like my sister did at that age. She had poker-straight hair and freckles that she hated. She didn’t think she was pretty, but I thought she was beautiful.
My sister was my hero. She was all the things I’m not and she wasn’t afraid of the devil himself. I warn you this is a story that will bring tears to your eyes, but hopefully it will also bring a touch of warmth to your heart. My sister was funny and tough. And the last thing she would want is sympathy. So I’m not giving her any. I’m telling this story just the way it was. Or at least the way I remember it being.
