It’s always awesome to hear from friends, fans and reviewers. Most times it’s good but in one instance it caused me to stop and think. One particular review on Amazon addressed not just the story but also the cover of my novel, The Twelfth Child. Funny thing is, I have no idea of who the reviewer is but I do remember she gave the story a five star review and said “Loved the story, hated the cover.” She went on to say that the cover simply didn’t capture the premise of the book.
When someone is right, I’ve got to give them credit for being right. In this case I had to agree with the reviewer, but taking a successful book and having the cover redesigned seemed a terrifying task. Then along came Previously Loved Treasures, Book two in The Serendipity Series.
Now there is family pride involved. The Twelfth Child had to have a face lift to keep up with her baby sister, so I went for it. This is the new story-telling cover of The Twelfth Child. I hope my readers like it as much as I do.
Please note, if you have already read The Twelfth Child, do not buy this book. It is the same story, it simply has a shiny new face. However, if you’ve read and enjoyed The Twelfth Child, be sure to mark your calendar for April 28th, the official release day for Previously Loved Treasures. I promise it will be s book you’ll enjoy.
