Blogging #atozchallenge Q is for Quick

Q is for QuickQuick Pick Books…these are the little treasures that you see on sale and snap up. I am as guilty as you are about overloading my Kindle with more books than I can possibly ever read, but in doing so I have often found some great little gems. I loved “Memoirs of an Imaginary Friend” and I probably wouldn’t have started “The Walk” series except that I saw it on sale and it reminded me of how much I like Richard Paul Evans as an author.

The quick picks added to my Kindle this week are: The Sock Wars by Maia Sepp, Goodnight Brian by Steven Manchester, Anything by Michael Saron, Next to Love by Ellen Feldman, Thursdays in the Park by Hilary Boyd and Once upon a Summer by Janette Oke.

Why do really great authors put books on sale? To find new readers. I’ve bought books on sale and discoveredclipart book authors I love. Catherine Ryan Hyde is one. I bought her novel “Never Let Me Go” – fell in love with her writing style and then went back and bought all of here other novels.

So do yourself a favor and grab a few quick picks of your own, then do the author a favor and review the books you’ve read. Let’s keep this fun cycle of reading going.
