Welcome Alle Wells!

I am very happy to announce that fellow author Alle Wells will be joining me as a contributing editor here on the blog. Alle will author a weekly feature on Southern living and the organic lifestyle she endorses. A North Carolina Gal, Alle writes in a Southern voice so expect to be charmed, informed and just generally delighted with her new column – SOUTHERN SUNDAY. Each week a NEW Alle Wells feature will be here in time for your Sunday morning reading pleasure. Alle and I are both looking forward to having y’all come back as regulars, so be sure to sign up and follow along as we tell our tales of the South.

Oh, and did I mention that we are also working on a kickoff party with prizes and book giveaways for blog followers?

ALL ABOUT ALLE…

Alle Wells writes Southern Fiction set in the twentieth century. Each book tells the story of one life and how the time in history, society, beliefs, and culture shape the outcome of that life. The reader may find a family member, a friend, an acquaintance or themselves in her characters. Her stories are like life: funny, tragic, romantic, happy, and sometimes sad.

Alle’s first book, Lame Excuses, tells the story of a young woman’s blissful love for food that leads her to a bitter end. This story addresses the crippling epidemic of food addiction in the rural South. Railroad Man is the story of one man’s life, his love, his success, and his sorrow during the Great Depression and beyond. Her third novel, Leaving Serenity, delivers an inspiring story of a young woman’s struggle to the top during the 1970s.

Alle  writing experience began in high school as social editor for the annual staff and high school correspondent for the local newspaper. Her college years led her to different career path. Over the years, Alle worked as a law librarian and in various types of non-profit development, writing appeal letters, and publishing quarterly newsletters. Today, she enjoys working on her next novel, reading, and writing book reviews that support the work of other indie authors. She also enjoys cooking, gardening, maintaining a complete organic vegetarian lifestyle, and practicing yoga.

Great stuff, Alle! I have the same fascination with my memories of summer trips to visit my grandparents in Georgia and Mississippi, and I actually wrote a blog post about it today before I read yours! Just goes to show you, great minds think alike 🙂
