ALL ABOUT ALLE…

Alle Wells writes Southern Fiction set in the twentieth century. Each book tells the story of one life and how the time in history, society, beliefs, and culture shape the outcome of that life. The reader may find a family member, a friend, an acquaintance or themselves in her characters. Her stories are like life: funny, tragic, romantic, happy, and sometimes sad.

Alle’s first book, Lame Excuses, tells the story of a young woman’s blissful love for food that leads her to a bitter end. This story addresses the crippling epidemic of food addiction in the rural South. Railroad Man is the story of one man’s life, his love, his success, and his sorrow during the Great Depression and beyond. Her third novel, Leaving Serenity, delivers an inspiring story of a young woman’s struggle to the top during the 1970s.

Alle  writing experience began in high school as social editor for the annual staff and high school correspondent for the local newspaper. Her college years led her to different career path. Over the years, Alle worked as a law librarian and in various types of non-profit development, writing appeal letters, and publishing quarterly newsletters. Today, she enjoys working on her next novel, reading, and writing book reviews that support the work of other indie authors. She also enjoys cooking, gardening, maintaining a complete organic vegetarian lifestyle, and practicing yoga.

About the author

Bette Lee Crosby

USA Today Bestselling and Award-winning novelist Bette Lee Crosby's books are "Well-crafted storytelling populated by memorable characters caught up in equally memorable circumstances." - Midwest Book Review The Seattle Post Intelligencer says Crosby's writing is, "A quirky mix of Southern flair, serious thoughts about important things in life and madcap adventures." Samantha from Reader's Favorite raves, "Crosby writes the type of book you can't stop thinking about long after you put it down." "Storytelling is in my blood," Crosby laughingly admits, "My mom was not a writer, but she was a captivating storyteller, so I find myself using bits and pieces of her voice in most everything I write." It is the wit and wisdom of that Southern Mama Crosby brings to her works of fiction; the result is a delightful blend of humor, mystery and romance along with a cast of quirky charters who will steal your heart away.
