Baby Girl appeals to me on so many levels. It encompasses all the emotional highs and lows I expect of Bette while telling a brilliant story of a woman lost, then found. I cried more than I laughed, but Bette's books are full of truths that are so perfect implicitly told in her stories. I highly recommend this book to everyone even if you haven't read the Memory House series. I think it's her best novel yet!
