How to cook Southern Cabbage
2 slices bacon cut into pieces
1/4 cup onion
3/4 cup green bell pepper
1 can whole tomatoes undrained and chopped
1 head cabbage
1/4 cup cider vinegar
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp pepper
3 dashes hot sauce
Cook bacon in a Dutch Oven until crisp.
Add onion and green pepper and saute until tender.
Add tomatoes, cabbage, vinegar, salt, pepper, and hot sauce.
Cover and bring to a boil then reduce heat and simmer until cabbage is tender.
