Some birthday's are fun and some are super fun…this one was super fun for me. It just so happens that the Florida Publisher's Association held their Annual Award Banquet on my birthday and because it was my birthday, they gave me two Silver Medal Awards…ha ha, not so.
Yes, I did go home with two awards but it was for my books not my birthday.
I am delighted to announce that Cupid's Christmas won the President's Book Award Silver Medal for General Fiction…
And What Matters Most won the Silver Medal for Florida Fiction. For those unfamiliar with how these competitions work it is a point scoring system and only books that achieve a seventy point plus rating can qualify as a finalist. The winner is determined by highest point score from among finalists. The Judges are Librarians, Educators and Publishing Professionals.
Winning such prestigious awards is something I am extremely proud of and I have been fortunate that the over the past three years The Florida Publishers Association has honored me with five such medals. Two Gold and Three Silver. And…in the two previous years, it wasn't even my birthday.
Happy Birthday, and congrats. You deserve the best.

Not a surprise that you are winning awards! You rock!! My birthday is today, so we’re both Libras. Don’t know if that’s significant, but thought I’d mention it.
Wonderful, Bette. You continue to entertain readers with your delightful stories. Congratulations.
Happy Birthday Bette and Congratulations on your new awards! What a wonderful honor and special day for you!
Going to make sure I mention this when posting more reviews of your books. It will make for a pretty post won’t it? All of your well-deserved awards displayed:)
Your stories are beautiful and I’m so glad for you!
