Happy Talk Interview with Bette Lee Crosby

It is such a thrill when you do a guest spot on a show and discover the interviewer has not only read your book but has taken the time to actually get to know you. Such was my experience today when I was interviewed on Joy Radio, a Blog Talk Radio Station.

Chatting with Host Pattie Welek Hall was like having tea with a dear friend. She had delightfully creative questions that led to discussions about things we authors seldom speak of and the time flew so quickly it seemed almost impossible that a half hour had gone by. I can say without hesitation, this was the most fun half hour I have spent in many weeks. Just for starters… Pattie starts her show with the laughter of children and it is all uphill from there.

Please take a moment to stop by, visit the show and enjoy a truly fun conversation about what it means to be an author.

What makes a family? That is one of the questions answered by Bette Lee Crosby in her latest offering.

Ida Sweetwater has had a lot of love and heartache in her long life. And Caroline, Ida's just found granddaughter, has had more than her share of heartache and loss.It is Ida's plan to replace that loss with love.

Caroline comes to live in Ida's home turned boarding house. There she meets quite a different set of boarders. The boarders quickly accept Caroline into their midst. Life is good. But even the best circumstances can go seriously awry without warning.

Oh, and let us not forget Mt Peter Pennigton, mysterious thrift store owner. He always seems to know just what is need just as it is needed. And the price is always right.

Bette Lee's stories are always filled with quirky characters and more than a hint of magic. A gentle life lesson is always involved softened with humor and grace. This one is no exception.
